Special of course, "timekeepers no longer keeping time". Exactly it.
ReplyDeleteSo many little thing to decide the fate of. Can't keep them all! Maybe our son or daughter will want some things...nieces, nephews, etc. We've stored them long enough. No room!
DeleteYour poem complements Linda's "goodbye series" well. I like the way you played around with the concept of time. Nicely done :-)
ReplyDeleteI guess it does! Time is such an interesting concept to me. I've always been fascinated with the idea of traveling in time, too.
DeleteThe last four lines, and their shape, we're just awesome, Donna. I love discovering boxes of treasures in my attic - so many stories to ruminate over.
ReplyDeleteThese items from the past are such treasures. My parents didn't keep much because they didn't want any of us to have to drag their stuff around with us. But it is nice to have a few good memory pieces to keep around. Comforting.
DeleteI love this!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna. Lots of love in that little pile of trinkets. Got to sort out more soon.
DeleteVery nice. I've been there, going through other people's treasures. Bittersweet.
ReplyDeleteSo much said with a few words. Great poem.
ReplyDeletethis is so lovely!
