H is for Handicapped Parking

This is the Hopping, Hilarious and Hopefully Hearty beyond belief A-to-Z April 2015 Challenge!!!!  And I am an A to Z Participant.  And it is Day 8, Letter H!

Again this year I am writing a poem a day to celebrate National Poetry Month.  It's my FOURTH YEAR in a ROW of writing a poem a day for the A to Z Challenge. My theme this year, is signs I've photographed and poems to go with them.

Not So Handy Capped Parking

Handicapped parking is somewhere in here;
I hope no one parked here before the new year,
For if they did they are in there, I fear,
And they won't be leaving till snow melts, my dear.

Though that may make most people giggle and snicker,
And even though winter could not have been slicker,
The snow that is parked here does not have a sticker;
But snow can't get tickets, now ain't THAT a kicker?

Where do you suppose the handicapped parking rules/laws went?

  1. I really enjoyed your poem today! And for a great topic – handicapped parking spots are important, and it always makes me angry when ‘healthy people’ are using them

  3. This was a funny one. They really need to get someone to clear that space, don't they? :P

    1. I know! There is absolutely no space there. Don't know why they decided it wasn't plowable this year.
