Each day (except Sundays) in April, I'm writing poems with some obscure words starting with the letter of the day, and then doing a small watercolor to go with it. Today's Letter is X in this Blogging A to Z Challenge.
Xebec
There once was a xebec named Xenial
With xenagogues less than congenial.
All their “guests” turned pale xanthic;
Walking plank made them frantic.
Methinks a cruise ship’s far more genial.
An exception would be the Titanic;
Then still one would certainly panic.

Thank you to The Phrontistery for providing lots and lots of lesser used words!
Xebec - small three-masted pirate ship
Xenial - of or concerning hospitality towards guests
Xenagogue - guide; someone who conducts strangers
Xanthic - yellow; yellowish

Excellent! That was spectacular :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use those X words.

ReplyDeleteI love the painting too!
