Worldling Worries

Each day (except Sundays) in April, I'm writing poems with some obscure words starting with the letter of the day, and then doing a small watercolor to go with it.  Today's Letter is W in this Blogging A to Z Challenge.   I went crazy... I had my headset on with 432hz music playing and the sound squelcher on... dogs' barking at EVERY stray person, car and leaf didn't make me jump and stop the world.  So I kept working.  And I tried a different strategy.  Look at ALL the words/definitions first. Decide which ones go together and would make a decent painting. Go back and copy and paste onto a doc.  As I selected if a line comes, write it below the word and if another word can go with it, put it in, too.  When done see what you have to work with.  So this is longer than I expected it to be, but didn't take all day to write.  It just came out.  I can't vouch for its quality...could be worsification.   I really wanted to use writative and wordish....

Worldling Worries

Wellaway, I’m wistly seeking sleep
Because sometimes I’m wanchancy;
No matter what I seem to wale
There’s williwaw that taunts me.

So to fill my wakerife night
And calm the walm and wamble
I count one hundred woolbirds –
Fluffed things that whicker and ramble.

It’s not that I am waygone,
I’m just thinking of whatabouts;
My body welks to find a spot
And my brain must settle doubts.

But tonight I’m feeling wankle
As my body starts its waftage;
My eyes stare up to deep welkin
Then succumb to slumber wantage.

My fingers caress weftage;
If standing I’d be walty.
My sleep wanhope unfounded;
Fear of wakefulness found faulty.

So go to sleep you, wallydrag.
Lay head upon the wase;
The sheep are all accounted for
There’s end to all the chase.

But wist, if I should wake and welter
I’ll grab a pen and pad
And start to write of letter X –
The worst one to be had.
