Shushing

For Poetry Friday linked at Jama's Alphabet Soup:

Shush!
The wind outside
Is shushing
Listen to the autumn
Rolling in
Incoming waves
Splash
Ankle deep in
Leaves
Scoop and toss
Giggle
At leaf spray
Sprinkling down
On faces and necks
Dive into
The cool
Tidal pool
Of autumn.

Mumbles
And stumbles
Windywhirling
Weedytumbling
Until

My mind
mumbles
and stumbles
windywhirling
weedytumbling
until
I stand
eyes closed
listening
silenced
quiet
when the wind
Talks.
