Each day (except Sundays) in April, I'm writing poems with some obscure words starting with the letter of the day, and then doing a small watercolor to go with it. Today's Letter is Z in this Blogging A to Z Challenge. We have arrived at z end... and none to soon. I need a serious break...before I do!
* I am going to try to put up a watercolor. Spent the day/evening in ER yesterday, and on pain meds today. Just didn't get to finishing this post yet...unless you see the watercolor, in which case I had a few moments of clarity and focus to finish this race! I'm not even hungry. And if the poem doesn't make sense, well, I was hurting.
Zero
A zero is a zaftig
It isn’t at all that zazzy
Its zenzic is still zero
Never snazzy, hardly jazzy
It’s zilch, amounts to nothing
Fills the center of a ziti
Nothing’s there it’s just a hole
Like a zephyr in Tahiti
Yeah, that setting would make up for it
We’d all agree with that
Even zero’s zenzizenzizenzic
Is a zaftig that’s still flat.
But zero added on the end
It becomes a super hero
Numbers can grow seriously
by simply adding zero.
Now back to that Tahiti beach...
Let's meet on a zizzy shore,
We'll enjoy the clearest breeze
and play a zither to the skies
doing zilch at zero speeds.
