H is for H2OCULR #AtoZ Challenge

It is my 8th year in participating in the AtoZ Challenge, and it is day 9 of National Poetry Month. Thus, I am writing poems from A to Z based on Maine vanity plates I've spied this past year.  The AtoZ does not have a letter for Sundays, but I will post a non-vanity plate or extra vanity plate poem on that day.
On this 8th day of the Challenge, we are on the letter H.

Water-dog

  1. Oh, that's a lovely poem!
I like that plate H2O-K9. I wonder what they meant by it? "Water dog" is a nickname for a kind of salamander, but that seems unlikely! Maybe they photograph dogs underwater!

    1. When I read the H2O-K9, I assumed it was their boat dog - usually a lab or retriever. Lots of waterdogs here! But it could be a salamander, too! Wish I could have asked them.

  2. Heh, I interpreted that first plate as "water cooler." That's the problem with some of these vanity plates -- the spellings are too creative for their own good!
    I'm enjoying your theme.

    1. I wondered about whether this one was actually water cooler, too! But I decided to go with watercolor. Sometimes when I photograph the plates I get to talk to the person who owns it and get their story OR I can see it is on a car with a business logo on the side so it gives me more of a clue. Nothing for this one though!

    2. Looking at the image I now remember why I thought it was "watercolor" when I took the picture. Do you see it, too?
