What Time Is It?

Lengthening days,
Shortening nights,
Shadows ever changing
And I don't know
What time it is any more.
I used to know
By the setting of the sun
Supper
But now
We are late to eat
And late to rise.
I know I get better at it again,
But when
Is that?

  1. You have noticed something that I have been feeling and captured it in words.

    1. It's a weird feeling of being slightly out of step for a while.

  2. I always think of the song by Chicago, "does anyone really know what time it is?"

  3. Well..as long as there is more sunshine, I can deal with discombobulation. I am tired of dark, dreary skies!

    1. Dealing with the discombobulating daylight is better than not having those extra hours of sunlight!

  4. I know, you've said it just right. I keep eating at about 7 o'clock, sun going down. It is strange to get up in the dark too.

    1. I must say though that it is easier to lose that hour when you are retired!
