Forsythia

yellow all-star show
starts today - runs through next week
in a yard near you

I saw the first forsythias at my sister-in-law's house today.  They were all in bloom in a huge bush.  I love seeing them.  It is truly spring when those balls of yellow starry blossoms appear in yards and along the roadways.  I wish they would stay longer!

  1. Me too, me too! They are out here & I guess we cannot hold spring back any longer, although it is still March. Your poem is just right, Donna!

  2. I love your 1st line "yellow all-star show". I have two forsythia bushes that I pass on my way to school. They bloomed awhile back, but I'm still enjoying that burst of yellow (my favorite color) on my way to school!

  3. Mine just burst forth this weekend when the sun finally made an appearance

  4. You are not the only Forsythia post-er from yesterday. I find myself wondering if all of the writers noticing the flowers live in the same part of the world, or if it is a somewhat universal flower?! (I am not the flower-noticing type, sadly.) :)
